Weddings

Posted on February 25, 2012
I love weddings.  The air is thick with love and everybody is beautiful and smiling.  I'm planning to return to wedding videography this year.  Go to my video page to view some footage of the one that got me hooked this last summer.

Yearly update

Posted on February 10, 2012
Well, time is passing...here I am a year later.  Either my life is too busy or not busy enough eh?   Directing another play, still working on the new CD, another grandchild and another winter.   I think that blogs are supposed to be informative and entertaining.  I can come up with neither.  If anyone actually reads this, you should tell me.  It would be interesting to know.  If you do, your life is not busy enough, or you are patiently waiting for me to bring up some new music.  I am too.
I will.
Soon.

Progress is slow

Posted on February 18, 2011
Well, it's February and I had hoped to have a CD ready.  Not.  I committed to directing a Community Theatre production of "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" and it's slowing progress considerably.  That combined with my recent addition of grandchild #4, and the fact that I don't tend to rush these things, is pushing the release date to sometime this summer.  Again, hopefully.  In the meantime, I'm slowly getting a new rendition of Western Moon recorded, which I really like so far.  I may need to hire a guitar player for fill.  Also checking into some other quality musicians for internet collaboration.  That is a ton of fun.  We'll see how it shakes out.  Can't wait to finish though just so I can get onto the next one.

New Year 2011

Posted on January 2, 2011
The calendar says it's time for me to call it a year.  Time is passing, to be sure, but  the date January 1 doesn't bring me a desire to make new promises, or mull over regrets or failures.  It's just another thing I have to remember when writing checks, or dates on the back of photos.
At different points of every year that passes, I'm blessed with a bit more wisdom and patience.  But it's a natrual progression, a semi-conscious resolution that changes me, brought about by the simple act of living, and being aware of it.
